Interim Guidance: Virtual Training Options during COVID-19 Outbreak
Over the past few weeks, the American Heart Association has received numerous requests from Training Centers for virtual training options during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a science-based organization that cares about public health, we are following the most conservative guidelines available among leading global, national, state, and local public health authorities regarding closures and large gatherings related to COVID-19. We understand the importance of social distancing and realize that in-person training options may not be available or feasible in many communities during current shelter in place orders.
In response to your unique needs and requests during this time, and to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission during AHA courses, the AHA will temporarily allow Training Centers to conduct virtual training for cognitive learning and/or hands-on skills following the requirements outlined in a new guidance document, “Interim Guidance: Virtual Training Options during COVID-19 Outbreak,” available to Training Center Coordinators on the AHA Instructor Network.
Safety Training Seminars is approved to provide these training courses through Zoom. You must set up a free account on Zoom.com to get started.
